Happy Birthday Poppy!

Sydney's had to do a lot of singing these past 2 weeks. And now today is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Poppy!

She even helped me unwrap the mints to go on top of Poppy's brownies. What a big helper!

Getting Ready for Christmas!!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we went to a tree farm near us and picked out our tree. We were so thankful we picked a warm day to do it, so we weren't freezing our little buns off!

Sydney thought Bear could be of some help too!

Putting the chain on the tree!

Mommy and Sydney in front of our tree after a lot of looking around!

This was the only picture we could get of the 3 of us in front of our tree because there was no one else around to recruit to take our picture. When you go close to closing time, that's what happens!

Christmas Cookie baking time at the Spenglers. Every year we head to NJ to bake cookies with our dear friend Darlene! This year Syd was finally big enough to help! We made Hershey Kiss cookies, Cut Out cookies, Chocolate Chip Shortbread cookies and Bon Bons!

She loved painting the cookies. She was so quiet and intent the whole time she painted!!

Her works of art ready to go in the oven!

Aunt Rachel even got to join us this year. We loved having her there!

Darlene patiently rolling out the dough.

Time for Syd to pick out her favorite and have a little nibble! Definitely the big red one!

Darlene and Sydney hard at work!

Heidi even stopped by for a little while to help!
My dad stopped by too. He said he just wanted to see his grandaughter, but I think he wanted to do a little cookie sampling too!

Making sure Darlene has a taste of her snack.

It's time to decorate our tree! Sydney made sure this corner of the tree had plenty of decorations on it!

She loved being able to help this year!

Syd and her daddy!

Mommy's little helper!

Sydney wanted to take a little sip of this mini milkshake before we hung it on the tree.

Our tree! If you look close enough, you'll notice Syd's favorite corner was the bottom left.

Merry Christmas!

Sydney's 2nd Birthday!!

We celebrated Sydney's 2nd birthday on Halloween this year. Her real birthday was November 3rd. Poppy, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Lindsey and Bob Spengler came up to spend the day with Sydney before her party. Here she is having some fun with Aunt Rachel! Syd told Aunt Rachel she was too big to go in, but that didn't stop her.

Our little birthday girl!

Even her horse was giving out hugs for her birthday!

Sydney was so excited for her party. She was talking about her b-day cake and everyone singing to her days before the actual event. I woke her up from her nap and I told her it was time for her party and she said, "Right now!!!" And got a huge smile on her face.

Eating with Daddy

Time for presents! She wanted to stop and play with each one, but I had to keep her moving with the presents.

Here Sydney was saying "thank you" to someone. After thanking a few people, she started automatically saying "thank you, you're welcome." It was cracking us up! I guess she wanted to make it easy for her guests.

Sydney is obsessed with her baby dolls and was so excited to get a bottle and cup to feed them.

Sydney's other obsession is Max and Ruby. My Aunt Lee sent her some Max and Ruby books and she reads them all the time now.

Our sweet girl! Notice only one slipper. I guess she only had one cold foot.

I love this girl!!

The specially requested Max and Ruby cake

Us and our birthday girl! We're so blessed!

Making sure Aunt Rachel gets some b-day cake!

Fun with her aunts

Time for the bunny costume! Sydney made her rounds giving high fives to her friends. In case you didn't know, that's how bunnies greet each other.

Or if you're really lucky, you can have a bite of her carrot.

Nana and her little great grandbunny

Thank you to everyone who was able to come to her party and make it really special for Sydney!

Today a couple of Sydney's friends threw her a little party. It was so sweet!

This was Sydney's face the whole time we sang to her!

Now she's a little happier!

Maddie really enjoyed her cupcake!

So did this little one. Her new thing is saying cheese, but not actually cracking a smile at all. I need a new word to make her really smile!

I love this picture of Maddie and Carter! He had a little burst of excitement he had to let out!
