Our First Halloween Party!

Last night we went to a Halloween Party at the Landes' house. They're friends of ours from church. Sydney dressed up as a Hershey Kiss and I was definitely not prepared for how traumatic it was going to be. She cried her eyes out the second I put it over her head. So then we decided it might be a little easier to have her step into it and it was a little better. She lasted a whole 5 mins. before crying and trying to rip it off.

It was such a cute party. Once the costume was off, Sydney gobbled up a mummy hot dog, a spider cookie, and a pumpkin jello jiggler.

The dads carved pumpkins and the moms made caramel apples. I think the moms definitely got the better deal. And then the kids bobbed for apples. Sydney was not about to ruin her make-up and dip her face in there. : )

At the end of the party, Sydney found a train table in one of the bedrooms. She had so much fun playing with the cars and trains on it. Here she is playing with her friend Sam. Doesn't it look like she's giving me a look of "Put the camera away mom. . .you're embarrassing me!"
